History
The Nature’s Bounty has a history of supporting and promoting health and wellness, tracing back to 1875 with the founding of Holland and Barrett stores in England. Alfred Slapps Barrett and Major William Barrett started with two types of shops – grocery stores and clothing retail outlets.
In the 1920s, Alfre Button and Sons bought the company and retained the name. Since then, Holland and Barrett has been bought and sold by other companies on multiple occasions.
In 1970, Booker McConnell acquired the brand only to be bought by Lloydspharmacy in 1992. Eventually in 1997, The Nature’s Bounty purchased Holland and Barrett and it was rebranded to the name of the parent company. In 2010, The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s leading private investment firms, acquired The Nature’s Bounty.
Nature’s Bounty has its headquarters in Ronkonkoma, New York. The organization has manufacturing, packaging, warehouse distribution, and administration facilities all throughout the United States and Canada. The firm also has multiple office worldwide in the United Kingdom, China, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, and New Zealand. The company has over 11,000 associates all around the world.
