Careers at IMImobile

Mission

IMImobile’s mission is to help organizations embrace mobile technologies so they can engage better with their customers in the digital world.

Business segments

IMImobile is a provider of cloud communications software and solutions.  The firm operates three reportable business segments based on geography: Europe and Americas, India and South East Asia (SEA), and Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Founding story

In 1999 Shyam Bhat founded IMImobile, a software and solutions firm that aimed to help organizations use digital and mobile technologies to effectively engage and communicate with their customers. The company’s technologies act as a layer of software between existing information technology systems, customer touchpoints, and business processes across digital channels.

The ultimate goal of IMImobile’s solutions was to lower the costs of digital service delivery. In 2000 the company embraced a managed service model. In 2001 it began developing DaVinci Evolved Service Platform (ESP), a mobile service delivery platform, with the objective of giving telecommunications operators a flexible foundation for delivering new services to their subscribers.

Over the next few years the company was able to garner various investments due to its potential. These included $3 million in a Series A round led by Spark Ventures in 2005, $10 million in a Series B round led by FirstMark Capital in 2006, and $13 million in 2009. In 2014 IMImobile completed an initial public offering and was allowed into the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
